Feedback for Cassie and Thayne: Rock and Roll HOF

u1-- Write about something well done.  What did you learn from this group?  What part of the Presentation seemed the best?

2-- Offer constructive criticism that would help this group.  What might have been more clear?  What part of the Presentation seemed the least polished?  Where did you want more clarity or development? What did this group miss? Etc.

The best and most thoughtful comments will likely include information, observations, quotes, statistics, connections, questions. . . or other material from your active listening notes.

  1. 1. You gave a really good historical background of the building with your inclusion of photos and text.

    2. I think towards the end I was left more curious as to what bands are actually in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame so a few more examples on that would have been nice.

  2. 1. I enjoyed the fun facts that you added about the hall of fame. It added something extra that I found very interesting. Your knowledge for the questions after was very good as well.

    2. Something that I think that could be fixed or worked on is your thesis. It slightly explained what you were going to go over but I feel you could outline it a little better

  3. 1. I think Thayne and Cassie did a good job explaining what the Rock n' Roll hall of fame stood for and its purpose. I like how they made sure to include how the hall of fame has effected the future of rock and roll.

    2. I think something interesting that would have added a bit more to the presentation would be explaining the significance of why the rock and roll hall of fame is located in Cleveland rather than in a another city.

  4. 1. I was very intrigued by how the Hall of Fame came to be where it is today. I didn't know about the voting and competition.

    2. I'm not exactly sure if this would've fit with your topic, but I think talking about the significant impact Rock and Roll has had on the world would have been neat.

  5. 1. Thayne and Cassie did a really good with their visuals and actually describing what the building look like. I really understood how it looks in there, even when I've never gone.
2.One thing that would have been a little better is if there weren't as many words on the slides. It just made it a little more cluttered on the slides and less focus on you guys speaking.

  6. 1.You two did well when it came to describing what the building was and why it is where it is.
2.I feel though that the presentation overall slightly lacked a "why" as in why it is iconic to America.

  7. 1. By having both of you going to the rock and roll hall of fame in the past really helped show that you guys knew what you were talking about. And for someone who has never been before I felt like you did a good job describing the museum.
    2. One thing that I think would of been beneficial to your project would be to include some of the songs through history from some of the people who are inducted into the hall of fame so we could get a sense of how music has changed over the years.

  8. I love the visuals that you guys used for your presentation on the power point slides, they help visualize your words.

One thing that I wish you guys developed more into was why Cleveland was chosen as the center for the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.

  9. 1. I liked all the information you gave about becoming inducted and how much work it took. I never knew how much work it took to be in there.
    2. I was wondering who founded most of the Rock and Roll hall of fame and what made them want to open it?

  10. 1 I liked the information you have on the presentation and the fact that you both had personal experiences of seeing it for yourselves as well as great pictures
2 I really wanted to know more of why it was picked in Cleveland and mabye the total amount of people that were actually inducted into the hall of fame

  12. The Rock and Roll topic I feel would be a hard one to portray but you guys did a great job its very cool how both of you have been their it made us feel as if we went with you

I thought something useful to be added was maybe a longer list of the names that were in the hall of fame.

  13. The thing I really liked about your presentation was the way you guys described the rock and roll hall of fame and that made me curious to go and visit that place.

The thing that I felt was missing was about how why it was just chosen to be in Cleveland rather than a more public place.

  14. 1. I loved your topic!
    2. I would have liked to have learned more about what qualifications must be met to be inducted.

  15. 1- I think its really neat that the artifacts were donated and the fact that you can get inducted more than once. I think you two did a great job explaining the formatting and the reasoning behind the building.

2- I think you two could have done a little better on a more clear thesis. You explained the structure and the reasoning why it was created but the thesis wasnt very clear.

  16. 1. The fact that both of you had previously visited the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame and knew specific details about the interior really helped me visualize the place.

    2. I would have liked to learn more on the qualifications to be inducted and how/why genres other than rock 'n roll are included.
